MISSION
Our current project is to identify a well organized effort to support children orphaned by the tsunami. As the chaos settles and details emerge, we are using a network of individuals in Sri Lanka to identify the best use of the funds we generate.
The cause selected will:
- Directly support children orphaned or displaced by the tsunami
- Orphanages
- Foster care services support
- Home rebuilding programs
- School rebuilding programs
- Comply with governmental regulations
- be evaluated for efficiency, clarity of mission, transparency of funding and outreach
In soliciting your donations, Sri Lanka Foundation makes the following commitments:
- 100% of the proceeds collected by Sri Lanka Foundation will go directly to causes selected with the above criteria (with the exception of transaction fees for donations made by credit cards).
- Our volunteers donate administration time, set-up time and costs
- All programs supported will be chronicled on this website.
